Need not a will
For I to love
Not a dream
That I wish
To be true
Nor to mimic
The strangers
That pass me by
But a wish
And only a wish
For you

It’s not for
My dreams
That I find you
In the midst
Of a crowd
Nor is it from
My dreams

Accused to have
A motive
For to be in love
By others
But in all honesty
I ask thee
Is that what
Thou believes
To be true

If you have
Read my eyes
As true
As the words
That I wrote
Then you see
I need not a will
To love
Or if needed be said
I love
To be in love
With you
